Ladki Bahin Yojana Status Check: Mobile & Aadhaar
Checking your Ladki Bahin Yojana status tells you three things at once: whether your application is approved, whether your eKYC is clear, and whether your ₹1,500 has been credited. The catch is that most women try the wrong method first and get stuck. Here is the correct way, and what each result means for your payment.
Which method works for a status check
Three searches dominate this topic — check by mobile number, by Aadhaar number, and by application number. They do not all work the same way.
- Registered mobile number — this is the working method. You log in to the official portal with your mobile number and password.
- Aadhaar number alone — you cannot check your full status online with only an Aadhaar number. The portal requires the registered mobile login. This is a deliberate privacy measure, not a portal error.
- Application / registration number — useful offline. Take it to a Setu Suvidha Kendra or your Anganwadi centre, and the operator can pull your record.
One workaround for the Aadhaar route: open the eKYC page and enter your Aadhaar. If it sends an OTP, your name is on the beneficiary list. If it says your number is not found, call 181 with your Application ID.
Check your status on the official portal
The Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana runs on its own portal — ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in — under the Women & Child Development (WCD) Department, Government of Maharashtra.
- Open ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in and click अर्जदार लॉगिन (Applicant Login)
- Enter your registered mobile number, your password (it is case-sensitive), and the captcha
- On your dashboard, open यापूर्वी केलेले अर्ज (Applications Made Earlier)
- Read the Status column, and check the “Last credited on” date for your payment
If you forgot your password, use the reset option on the login page with your registered mobile number.
A common mix-up: this scheme is not on MahaDBT
Many women search for the status on MahaDBT and find nothing. The Ladki Bahin Yojana is not hosted on MahaDBT. Its only status portal is ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in. Using the correct portal saves a lot of wasted time.
What each status means, and your next step
| Status | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| प्रलंबित (Pending) | Under review at ward or taluka level | Wait and check again after a week |
| मंजूर / पात्र (Approved) | Eligibility confirmed; you are in the payment queue | Keep your Aadhaar–bank seeding active |
| वितरित (Disbursed) | Money released to your bank | If it has not arrived, see the section below |
| नामंजूर (Rejected) | A document or income issue | Open the reason, fix it, appeal through 181 |
| निलंबित (Suspended) | Account paused, usually incomplete eKYC | Complete your eKYC here |
Status shows approved but no money received
This is the most reported problem, and the cause is almost always the same. Your status reads Approved or Disbursed, but your balance has not moved because your bank account is not NPCI-mapped for DBT. Aadhaar seeding links your Aadhaar to the bank; NPCI DBT mapping tells the payment system which account should receive government scheme money. Without that mapping, the payment has nowhere to land.
To fix it:
- Check your seeding at uidai.gov.in → My Aadhaar → Bank Seeding Status
- If it shows inactive, ask your bank branch for the Aadhaar Seeding & DBT Linkage form and request DBT enablement
- Wait 48 to 72 hours, then check again
When the money does arrive, the SMS will not say “Ladki Bahin.” It shows a code like MAHABAHIN, DBT MMLBY, or Govt Transfer. A full walkthrough is in our main scheme guide.
Status not showing or account suspended
If your status page is blank (status disat nahi), the usual reasons are a portal load issue near peak hours or a login mismatch. Try again in off-peak hours and confirm you are using the mobile number you registered with.
If your status reads Suspended even though your eKYC was completed, your case falls under the WCD re-verification drive confirmed on 13 July 2026. The department stated that no eligible woman will lose her benefit, and a strict re-verification is underway for genuine beneficiaries whose payments stopped. Do not reapply — verify your eKYC and NPCI mapping, and keep your details ready for the review.
Check your status through the Nari Shakti Doot app
The official Nari Shakti Doot app does the same job as the portal and runs better on low-cost phones and weak networks. Log in with your registered mobile number, open your dashboard, and view your application and payment status. Download it from the Google Play Store.
When to use offline help
If you have no smartphone or the portal keeps failing, visit your Anganwadi centre, Setu Suvidha Kendra / Maha e-Seva Kendra, or Gram Panchayat office with your Aadhaar card or Application Reference number. The operator can look up your record on their official terminal and tell you your current stage.
About the payment amount and dates
Two points worth stating plainly. The monthly amount is ₹1,500 — the rumored rise to ₹2,100 has not been notified as of July 2026, so treat any “₹2,100 upgrade” message as fraud. And installments are not paid on a fixed calendar date; they go out in batches after the treasury processes each tranche. Rather than trusting a forwarded “next date,” log in and read your own “Last credited on” line — that is the only figure that reflects your account.
FAQs
Can I check my status by Aadhaar number?
Not the full status online. The portal needs your registered mobile login. The eKYC page can confirm if your name is on the list.
Why does my status show approved but I got ₹0?
Your account is likely not NPCI-mapped for DBT. Get the DBT linkage done at your bank.
Is the scheme on MahaDBT?
No. Use only ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in.
